Delete your Klari account

This page explains how to delete your account for Klari: Book Summaries & Audio and what happens to your data. You can delete your account yourself at any time, in the app or on the web.

Delete it in the Android app

  1. Open Klari and sign in.
  2. Open the menu and tap your profile at the bottom.
  3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
  4. Enter your password and confirm.

Delete it on the web

  1. Sign in to your Klari account.
  2. Open the user menu in the top right and choose Account Settings.
  3. In the Delete account section, select Delete account.
  4. Enter your password and confirm.

What is deleted

Deletion is immediate and permanent. The following is removed:

  • Your profile: name, username, email address and password
  • Sign-in sessions and security records, including your last sign-in time and IP address
  • Reading progress, highlights and notes
  • Learning programs and exercises
  • Ask Klari and assistant conversations
  • Research projects, their sources and messages
  • Documents you uploaded, with every summary, translation and audio track generated from them

What is kept, and for how long

We keep no data linked to you after deletion. Routine database backups are overwritten on a rolling basis, so the last copies of your data leave our backups within 3 days.

Summaries of books and papers in the public Klari library are not personal data and are not affected.
